New Home Star Plants 500 Trees in Honor of Earth Day

By Star Report 1 min read

Chicago, IL - On April 22, New Home Star took the initiative to give back in honor of Earth Day. To raise excitement for this annual occasion, the national team rallied together to make a difference. For each sale that was made on Earth Day, New Home Star donated trees to be planted in Brazil through its partnership with One Tree Planted.

This initiative was a continuation of the firm’s Giving Every Moment (GEM) Project, a company-wide volunteer and service program that was created based on the organization’s value of giving in meaningful ways. “It was so incredible to see how our team members pushed their performance to earn even more sales for a worthy cause,” says VP of Business Operations, Mary Lindeman. “When these Rockstars come together, we can make a significant impact both from a local and national level.”

In addition to the national company-wide challenge, several divisions, including the Corporate headquarters, took part in volunteer events to help give back locally in honor of Earth Day. “Our office volunteer event at Oldfield Oaks was a great success,” says Marketing Manager, Erin Henderson. “Not only did we get to go out into the community and volunteer our time, but we were able to bond as a team in the process. The fulfillment created by participating in an engaging event like this is indescribable.”

From the sales performance achieved through this initiative, New Home Star was able to donate 500 trees through One Tree Planted. To learn more about One Tree Planted and how they’re supporting our planet, visit their website.
