New Home Star Plants 1,500 Trees in Honor of Earth Day

By Star Report 2 min read

Chicago, IL - On April 22, New Home Star took the initiative to give back in honor of Earth Day. To raise excitement for this annual occasion, the national team was encouraged to showcase their contributions to the environment through photo submissions on the company’s sales enablement platform, New Home Connect™. For each submission made, New Home Star vowed to donate 20 trees to be planted in the Amazon rainforest through its partnership with One Tree Planted.

This initiative was a continuation of the firm’s Giving Every Moment (GEM) Project, a company-wide volunteer and service program that was created based on the organization’s value of giving in meaningful ways. “It was wonderful to see how many of our team members were engaged in this initiative,” says New Home Star Founder, David Rice. “We love seeing our national team give back to their communities, and we hope initiatives such as this one spark even more positive change throughout each of our markets.” Whether it was picking up trash, planting flowers, or choosing to walk instead of driving, the firm’s employees displayed their dedication to caring for our planet.

“We’re always looking for unique ways to give back to each of our partnerships throughout the country,” says Senior Director of Corporate Operations, Taylor Holop. “This was another successful initiative where our national team rallied together for a great cause, and we can’t wait to continually expand on these ideas going forward.” The Corporate Support team also took part in the fun by planting pollinator gardens at the Corporate office in Elmhurst, IL.

From the submissions collected, New Home Star was able to donate 1,500 trees through One Tree Planted. To learn more about One Tree Planted and how they’re supporting our planet, visit their website.
