New Home Star Hosts Leadership Training With Lessons From Bamboo

By Star Report 1 min read

Chicago, IL - On May 19, New Home Star hosted its virtual Q2 Director Training event in lieu of the traditional in-person event the firm typically plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This half-day initiative brought the organization's Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents together for rigorous training centered around sustainability lessons of bamboo and how they intersect with business strategy. The four training sessions discussed bamboo’s strength, resilience, flexibility, and ever-growing nature — with each topic translating into tactics sales leaders can implement in their operations.

“We couldn’t be more proud of how our leaders have stepped up as a result of the constant changes that occurred in the real estate industry,” says New Home Star Founder, David Rice. To equip them with even more tools, we were ecstatic to come together and host another training conference. The insight and learning that occurred are sure to help not only our management team, but the entire organization going forward.” The virtual training consisted of presentations, breakout sessions, and collaborative discussions.

“This training was extremely impactful and truly resonated with challenges our leaders have endured throughout this past year,” says New Home Star President, Tom Chisholm. “I’m excited to see how our leaders will implement their learnings and apply them to their sales teams nationwide.” After the training, attendees enjoyed a virtual happy hour, dinner, award ceremony, and comedy night from the comfort of their own homes.

As the organization prepares for the third quarter and beyond, New Home Star is committed to continually equip our management team with tools and resources to aid in their successes. The firm hopes to be able to resume its traditional in-person event later this year and keep expanding on its systems and processes as the organization continues to grow.
