New Home Star Celebrates Builder Appreciation Week and Donates Over $20,000 to Charities Nationwide

By Star Report 1 min read

Chicago, IL - From June 13-19, New Home Star hosted its seventh annual Builder Appreciation Week aimed at showcasing gratitude to the firm’s builder partners. Following last year’s tradition, the organization placed a strong focus on its Giving Every Moment (GEM) Project, a company-wide volunteer and service program. Team members organized ways to show appreciation to their builder staff and arranged outreach events in their community to give in meaningful ways.

To highlight the charitable aspect of the week, each division was encouraged to organize a volunteer event, and after completion, New Home Star donated to a charity of the team’s choice in honor of the builder partners. “Making a difference in our local communities is of extreme importance to us,” says New Home Star President, Tom Chisholm. “The giving spirit shines throughout Builder Appreciation Week, and we’re so appreciative to our teams and builder staff nationwide for making their mark on the local area.”

New Home Star donated to the following charities on behalf of our builder partners for a total donation of $20,500.

  • ACPS Jacksonville
  • Cape Coral Animal Shelter
  • Feed My Starving Children
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Harvesters - The Community Food Network
  • Idaho Diaper Bank
  • Matthew 25: Ministries
  • Mobile Mini's Inc.
  • Ronald McDonald House
  • Second Harvest
  • Soldier's Angels

To show appreciation to the construction crew and corporate office, each division held an appreciation luncheon to show their gratitude. “Our builder staff is pivotal to our organization, and they deserve all the recognition possible,” says New Home Star Founder, David Rice. “This special week is dedicated to them and the hard work they do every day.”
