Las Vegas, Nev. - The industry's largest annual convention brings together the world's top homebuilding distributors and suppliers at the 2016 International Builders' Show which will run from January 19-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The convention showcases the industry's most innovative trends and one trend is especially notable this year - a trend of builder optimism. The industry is preparing for its best year of sales since the Great Recession began nearly a decade ago and Chicago-based New Home Star is bringing sales and marketing managers from more than twenty markets to IBS for continued internal development and process improvement.
National sales trainers, CRM software providers and internet marketing gurus will all take their turn at the podium, but the industry's most prolific seller of new homes is taking a different approach. "Our sales and marketing company, New Home Star, has grown 1300% in the past four years. Instead of exhibiting at a booth this year in an effort to find new clients, we are bringing together our national sales leaders for three days of intensive workshops on how to take advantage of this promising market for our existing clients," says Founder and CEO David Rice. "Our management team is among the elite in sales leadership in our industry and this is the right venue to continue learning and sharing our experiences."
It may be a sign of the times, as record attendance is expected at this year's event, that suppliers and service providers are thinking more about serving exiting builder clients than seeking new ones. Rice says, "Our builder partners have waited nearly a decade for the kind of market forces we see affecting 2016. We are here to share our best thoughts and strategies to ensure we capitalize on this opportunity for our clients." In addition to a training curriculum that covers advanced sales strategies and new marketing tools, new technologies will be rolled out to enable consistent sales management across a national footprint.
New Home Star is even closing its after-hours party to prospects and making this year's Annual IBS Builders' Gala exclusively open to existing clients and friends. "We have so many good partners and it's time for us to give them all of our focus," says Rice. "Our party in the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay is one small way to show our appreciation to them and celebrate their successes from 2015."
