New Home Star Hosts Sixth Annual March Madnezz Contest

Chicago, IL - New Home Star recently concluded its most anticipated sales competition of the year: March Madnezz. This bracket-style competition separates our national divisions into 32 teams, tasking sales professionals with maximizing performance on their sales goals over a five-week period. Drawing inspiration from the famous annual NCAA tournament, the team with the highest prorated sales-to-goal percentage for each matchup advances to the next round until one victor remains. 

The contest has been a staple of New Home Star tradition since its inception in 2016 and is designed to boost sales performance on all fronts before the official start of the infamous spring selling season. With such a significant contest comes a significant reward — a travel experience to any destination in the continental US!

“This contest creates an electric energy throughout the organization,” says President Tom Chisholm. “Despite the building delays and sales caps many of our team members are facing, this contest is unique as it allows each team to create an individualized goal to participate in the action. Everyone gives it their all, and it’s amazing to watch the progress each week.” 

Our Maronda Homes’ Columbus division took home the trophy this year by more than doubling their monthly goal!
