Written by Star Report | Apr 5, 2019

Chicago, IL - New Home Star Founder, David Rice, presented as a keynote speaker at the International Builders’ Show (IBS) on the controversial topic of “The Extinction of Model Homes.” Taking the stage for the fifth time as a speaker at the convention, Rice returned once again to share his ideas with the Production Builder Executive Club (PBEC), an exclusive group comprised of the top 200 homebuilder executives from around the country.

The presentation hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada, was centered around current pain points for consumers and suppliers, as well as emerging technologies that are changing the landscape of new home sales. “The traditional approach of home buying has many inherent flaws,” says Rice. “To start, buyers are forced to drive dozens of communities, across multiple builders, and are left trying to decipher piles of non-standardized collateral. What’s more, the prized model home experience is almost never going to be quite like the final product due to plan selection and customization. Finally, the experience isn’t helped by a new generation of buyers who are even more introverted and apprehensive of salespeople.”

With a long track record of disrupting the industry from within, New Home Star Founder, David Rice went on to share his solutions for homebuilders by shedding light on what the growing firm is doing now to transition into the future of new home sales. As the largest private seller of new homes in America, New Home Star aims to be ahead of the curve by investing in more technology that will soon emerge industry-wide.
